Where we don't yet have enough verified reviews to rank a list, we list the businesses A to Z instead. 69 licences checked on official government lists. How we rank
How we pick them
- 01
We look at real reviews
We note each business's Google star rating and how many reviews it has, plus the date we checked.
- 02
We check licences
Plumbers, electricians and builders only make the list once we've checked their licence on the official government list.
- 03
Everyone is judged the same way
Every business is scored the same way, and you can read exactly how. Lots of good reviews count for more than a few perfect ones, and a business needs at least 15 reviews to be ranked. Nobody can pay to be listed.
- 04
We keep it up to date
Every list shows the date we last checked it. If a list goes more than 120 days without a check, we hide it from search until it's updated.
